Popular Opinion and What I Am Doing To Keep You Safe From Covid-19 In The Salon

Where do I even begin. It is quite obvious the world is in a very fragile state right now, Especially the United States. I am sure you know exactly what I am talking about. A world wide pandemic, protesting and rioting.

Obviously I come in contact with serval people a day and I get to learn each persons opinions of what is happening in the world. Once upon a time, not too long ago politics and religion were considered tabu conversations in the salon and now that seems to be all we have to talk about.

What's happening in the U.S. is horrible but I always try to find a silver lining and I have found this to be a very educational time for me. I have learned a better understanding of our political systems. I have learned that although things seem to be pretty good in my world there are people that have never had that experience. I have learned that every ones opinion does matter all though I may not agree with it. The biggest lesson I have learned is to keep learning, absorbing information, form opinions for your self instead of following the masses, and use what is happening as a lesson to prevent this again in the future.

With all of this going on it seems that some of us have forgotten that we are still in a pandemic state. I promise that I have not forgotten! I am still taking every precaution possible in my studio.

How I Am Keeping You Safe From COVID-19 In The Salon

  1. No Waiting Room. I know waiting in your car may not be the most ideal option but right now keeping our waiting room free of people really is the best option.

  2. Diffusing Essential oil in the air to purify the air in the studio.

  3. Offering Hand Sanitizer or antibacterial hand soap for you.

  4. Using a Freshly laundered cape on each guest.

  5. Sanitizing the styling chairs, shampoo bowl and chair, hand mirror, iPad, scissor, and blowdryer with hospital grade disinfectant after each guest.

  6. Sanitizing all combs, clips, and brushes in a special disinfectant after each use. (p.s. we did this before Covid)

  7. Wipe down the door handles, cabinet handles, and any other things that are touched during the visit.

  8. And the obvious I wear a mask for your protection.

So the big question is what does your service look like now?

I greet you at the door with a smile on my face even though you can't see it behind my mask.

We come straight to the freshly sanitized studio where you enjoy your service as usual.

I still offer the same amenities that I did before Covid.

  • Water (sparkling or regular)

  • Soda (sprite, pepsi, diet pepsi, or coke)

  • Wine (Moscato, Pino Grigio, Chardonnay, Merlot, or Cabernet)

  • Champaign

  • Coffee

  • Snacks (chocolate, crackers, pretzels, belvita cookies, nuts, and gum)

After your service I sanitize the studio for the next guest.

How could you not feel comfortable knowing all of these steps I am taking to keep you safe!
